McKinney, TX - November, 2010 - CM3 Consulting has completed another successful research project with
Broward College's Office of Information Technology and Institutional Effectiveness. Our consultants, lead by Chief Operating Officer, Scott Ziolko, assisted Vice President Patti Barney and her researchers by setting up processes for the early evaluation of trends in student success.
CM3 Consulting had three distinct phases that were completed in this research partnership. First, CM3 completed a baseline analysis of the specific student behaviors that have historically related to success at Broward College. For example what term a student first attempts a math course, first term GPA, and first year GPA trends. Second, using the results of the baseline analysis, we evaluated recent trends in performance. Looking at each cohort of students that attend Broward College each year (~60,000 students per year, ~5,000 new students per cohort in the fall) we evaluated whether the performance of the college and students has already been improving or declining in each of the areas that were shown to be the most important indicators of eventual student success. Lastly, a set of
SAS programs were provided to the college to allow the Institutional Research team at Broward College to update the data each term to allow for the college's continuous improvement.
CM3 Consulting draws upon its consultants' broad skills and experience to deliver solutions that directly match their clients' needs. The members of the CM3 Consulting team have expert knowledge and degrees ranging from Software Engineering to Business Administration and Information Systems to Statistics.
